Home Of Our Own Foundation is an organization founded by a group of truly dedicated people who, through volunteering at numerous shelters, realized the necessity for a place where large breed canine friends can live and prosper through structure and love.
Did you know that when dogs are left in kennels too long they may become subject to stress, frustration, and even illness? By moving them to a large, homelike facility, they can regain their balanced demeanor and health.
Large breed dogs, in particular, require more indoor and outdoor space, a larger quantity of food, and in general, a greater financial commitment than their smaller cousins, and therefore they are often passed over for adoption. Most of these dogs tend to spend their entire lives in a confined space if they are lucky and are euthanized if they are not.
Our goal at Home Of Our Own Foundation is to work closely with local shelters and rescue organizations to give some of these dogs a home of their own, hence the name.
Our program consists of providing each dog with a large, fully insulated enclosure, a private fenced-in yard, and a lot of one-on-one interaction. All dogs receive a nutritious and balanced diet, regular bathing, and plenty of exercise, as well as leash and basic commands training. We ensure that each dog is vaccinated and receives the medical care it needs.
Providing quality care requires not only love and compassion, but also resources. You can make the difference! We hope you will support Home Of Our Own Foundation with a charitable gift, which is tax-deductible. Your support will go directly to the care of these dogs. Only with your help can we save these wonderful animals.
All our dogs are available for adoption through Pet Adoption Fund. If you are interested in adopting any of these wonderful animals, please feel free to contact us at 818-219-2229 for more information.
